Collaboration Dinner with Chef Nico Abello

Restaurant 17 is excited to host this Chef Collaboration Dinner featuring our own Executive Chef Haydn Shaak and guest Chef Nico Abello. A Greenville native, Chef Haydn’s culinary roots run deep—he embarked on his first apprenticeship at 16. Since taking the helm at Restaurant 17 in 2018, he’s transformed the kitchen into a beacon of local, seasonal dining with a Mediterranean flair, grounded in classical techniques. Joining him is Chef Nico Abello, a classically trained French chef whose career began in Michelin-starred kitchens near Paris and later soared in New York City, where he earned six consecutive Michelin stars as Executive Chef of L’Appart. Now settled in Greenville as Corporate Chef for Table 301, Chef Nico continues to inspire through mentorship and innovation. For this special evening, Chefs Haydn and Nico will create a multi-course menu that highlights the best of Upstate produce and French sophistication. Expect an evening of artistry, passion, and impeccable hospitality that celebrates the vibrant culinary community of Greenville.
